Prodromos – Zoumi Nature Trail
Panoramic Views Through the Black Pine Forest
Begin your day with a guided hike along the beautiful Prodromos – Zoumi Nature Trail, located within the Troodos National Forest Park. This scenic mountain trail winds through impressive forests of endemic Black Pine, offering a peaceful walking experience surrounded by the fresh mountain air and rich biodiversity of the Troodos range.
As the trail gently descends through the forest, several panoramic viewpoints reveal spectacular vistas across the Marathasa Valley, Morphou Bay, Kykkos Monastery, Tripylos Peak and the vineyards of Vouni Panagias. The trail ends at Zoumi, where it connects with the Fragma Prodromou–Stavroulia Nature Trail. For those wishing to extend the walk, the route can be completed as a circular hike by following the Prodromos–Troodos Road, adding approximately 2.7 km.

Following your hike, continue to Marathasa Wines, a boutique winery beautifully nestled among the mountain vineyards of the Marathasa Valley. Accompanied by the winery experienced Wine Hosts, enjoy a guided walk through the surrounding vineyards while learning about the unique terroir and indigenous grape varieties that thrive at high altitude.
The experience continues with an introduction to the winemaking process overlooking the production facilities, before concluding with a guided tasting of three carefully selected wines, accompanied by complimentary bread and crackers. Kalidonia Waterfalls Nature Trail
Begin your day with a guided hike along the renowned Kalidonia Nature Trail, one of the most beautiful and refreshing walking routes in the Troodos National Forest Park. The trail follows the banks of the Krios Potamos (Cold River), one of the few rivers in Cyprus that flows throughout the year.
The highlight of the walk is the enchanting Kalidonia Waterfall, where cool mountain waters cascade into a natural pool surrounded by rich vegetation. The trail continues through the forest before ending at Psilo Dentro in the picturesque village of Pano Platres. Before or after the hike, guests may also visit the Environmental Information Centre at Troodos Square to gain further insight into the unique biodiversity and geology of the Troodos National Forest Park.

Begin your day with a guided hike along the picturesque Trooditissa – Foini Nature Trail, a beautiful route located entirely within the Troodos National Forest Park, part of the Natura 2000 protected network. Following a peaceful forest road from the historic Trooditissa Monastery towards the traditional village of Foini, the trail offers spectacular views across the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Along the way, cross the Trooditissa River and discover the enchanting Chantara Waterfall, an impressive eight-metre cascade hidden within the forest. The route continues past dramatic vertical cliffs before descending to the outskirts of Foini, offering a perfect combination of natural beauty and tranquillity.

Atalanti Nature Trail: A Panoramic Hike Around the Highest Peak in Cyprus
Begin your day with a guided hike along the renowned Atalanti Nature Trail, one of the finest long-distance trails in the Troodos National Forest Park. Encircling the slopes of Mount Olympus (Chionistra) at an altitude of approximately 1,700–1,750 metres, the trail offers spectacular scenery and an exceptional opportunity to experience the unique biodiversity of Cyprus mountain landscape.
The route passes through magnificent forests of endemic Black Pine and the rare Foetid Juniper, including one of the oldest juniper trees in Cyprus, estimated to be over 800 years old. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views stretching across the island and discover the entrance to the historic Chrome Mine, which operated until 1982 and remains a fascinating reminder of the area mining heritage. The trail concludes at Troodos Square, home to the Environmental Information Centre of the Troodos National Forest Park, where visitors can further explore the area unique geology and ecosystems.
